JOHN Clark, a former senior curator (Medieval) of the Museum of London, is giving a talk to Fenland Archaeological Society on March 13 at 7.30pm at Mendi’s in the Old Market, Wisbech.
The talk is “Medieval Treasures from the Thames” and is a fascinating glimpse into some of the 2,500 objects recovered from the river between Hampton Court and Erith. These include weapons dating from early Saxon to the 15th Century.
Mr Clark retired in 2009. Between 1965-67 he was the curator of Wisbech Museum.
Admission is £2. All are welcome.
