Wisbech woman Jacky Vipond has conquered yet another fundraising challenge.

Jacky walked 192 miles across some tough terrain and battled the British weather to raise £1801.88 for the Macmillan and Hudson Palliative Care Centre.

The Coast to Coast Walk starts on the west coast and goes through the Lake District, Yorkshire dales and north Yorkshire moors before finishing on the east coast. The challenge took 12 days and saw Jacky face torrential rain, a bull, fields of sheep, mountains, streams and bogs, but she successfully completed it.

Jacky said: “I did think that this one was going to be a tough and I was not wrong. I had good days and not so good days, long days and much longer days but I got there in the end.”

Jacky has previously walked the Great Wall of China, trekked up Kilimanjaro and cycled from London to Paris, all to raise money for charity. She is now looking for suggestions for what her next fundraising challenge could be.
