A TRIO of friends are undertaking a skydive in memory of loved ones.

Christine Ndow Newby, Denise Parsons and Anna Chase will be taking to the skies above Fenland on September 4 to raise money for three different charities.

Christine, who works at Wisbech’s Moy Park, is raising money for the British Kidney Foundation in memory of her mum, Bessie Collett, who died of kidney failure. She is also doing the jump to mark her 50th birthday, which is this year.

Bon Marche shop assistant Denise, who is terrified of heights, is jumping in memory of her son Carl. Carl died in a car accident last September while working away, leaving two young children Kian (3) and Amiee (1).

“The air ambulance went out to the crash and even though they weren’t needed, I would like to raise money for them,” Denise said.

Christine’s friend Anna Chase, a nursery nurse, is also coming along and will be raising money for Stroke UK, in memory of her nan Jenifer Chase.

The jump will also be a way to positively remember their loved ones at a time that will be very painful for them, as both Bessie and Carl died on September 6 last year.
