A successful charity auction was held in December raising a bumper £800 for the Friends of Wisbech and Fenland Museum.
Richard Barnwell of Clifford Cross Auctions Ltd conducted the auction on behalf of The Friends
to raise funds towards the cost of restoration works to the Museum building.
Mr Barnwell said on behalf of The Friends of Wisbech and Fenland Museum: “I would like to thank all those people who donated items to be sold in aid of the appeal. The gifts we received were very generous, from a wide range of people in the town, which showed the esteem in which the Museum is held. I was also delighted with the attendance at the auction and would like to take this opportunity of thanking everyone who supported the sale, which raised over £800.
“We had intended to raise £500, so the result is extremely good and I think The Friends Group will probably decide to hold another auction next year.”
