VIDEO: Witches and zombies come out to play in Wisbech

Monsters, witches and zombies came out to play in Wisbech town centre on Halloween.

Seven hundred children and their parents enjoyed collecting sweets along with getting up close to some creepy crawlies during the “best ever” trick or treat event at Horsefair Shopping Centre.

Youngsters donning spooky Halloween costumes made their way around 42 businesses to pick up sweets as well as tackling a climbing wall.

Centre manager Kevin Smith said: “This is our best ever event. We have been running it for seven years and this was the busiest.

“More businesses got involved this year so instead of 22 shops in the Horsefair children had 42 to trick or treat around.

“It was an amazing event.”

Massive queues of children were seen picking up maps before making their way around the business.

Children were able to get up close to snakes and spiders after Fantasia Reptile Emporium set up a display in the Argos window.

A fairground ride along with holding owls were all part of the fun while Wisbech Lions gave away cakes.

The fun at the Horsefair was followed with a disco at the Wisbech Institute.
