A group of parents have come together to light Doddington up for Christmas once more.
It has been several years since the village boasted Christmas lights and the group wants to see a return of the festive display.
Anna Holland is one of the parents involved and has a long history with the Christmas lights – her father set up the Christmas lights committee 15 years ago and she has fond memories of them.
“We want to get the village lit up again. It’s just not right with Christmas lights,” she said.
An open public meeting is being held at The George on Thursday, March 6 at 8pm. All villagers have been invited and they want to try and set up a committee.
The venture has the backing of the parish council.
