The organisers of Wimblington annual Parish Fun Day say Sunday’s event was the best yet.
Organised by a committee made up of people from the village and some councillors, the event is a firm favourite on the village calendar.
There were stalls and games, fun fair rides, an inflatable slide, bouncy castle and more. The school choir were in fine voice and village clubs including archery and netball players where among those attending.
Charities manned their own stalls and local businesses donated raffle prizes. Skylark fun yard gave passes for the fancy dress and Knowles Transport have been thanked for moving all the equipment.
The fun day started in 2009 and missed a year for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations. The village-run organising committee was chaired by Joanne Rose.
