CHATTERIS residents are being urged to vote for superfast broadband.
BT is currently running a nationwide competition where communities can vote to have their telephone exchange upgraded to allow for fibre optic broadband services, providing speeds of up to 40 MBit.
There have to be a minimum of 1,000 votes for the exchange to be classed as viable for upgrade.
There has been little response from Chatteris residents to this so far and they are being urged to vote.
Votes can be taken up to December 31 2010 on http://www.racetoinfinity.bt.com and the ten successful exchanges will be upgraded in early 2012.
