Upwell Playing Field was full to bursting on Sunday for the Greyhound Rescue annual fun dog show.

A total of 148 dogs and their owners turned up, raising lots of money for Barbara Townsend’s greyhounds. The final total is still being totted up.

Barbara said: “It could not have turned out any better for us. An added bonus on the day was that I rehomed two dogs we have had here for a while.

“I would like to thank all the companies and people that donated. Without them we could not have put on our show.”

A dog show and fun day will be held at Upwell on August 25 to raise funds for the Macmillan and Hudson Centre Palliative Care Unit and the stroke unit in King’s Lynn. Donations, sponsors and stalls urgently needed. Call Barbara on 07717-217347.
