The All Saints Academy fireworks extravaganza went with a bang on Friday night.

This is the 11th year running the March school has held a public fireworks display and this year did not disappoint the estimated 1,000 people who turned out.

The display by 1605 Fireworks, which has provided the displays at the school for the past four years, wowed the visitors.

Zoe Betts, chair of the PTA, said: “It was absolutely amazing. People told us it was the best display they’ve seen in years.

“Organising the display was a lot of hard work, as we’re only a small PTA, but it’s a nice event for the community.”

The fireworks display raised an estimated £2,000 for All Saints Academy.

The school’s next fundraising event is the Christmas fayre, which will be held between 6pm and 8pm on December 6. More details will be released closer to the time.
