Interested in a friendly, free, running session? Trackless run group could be for you.
Held every Monday, from 7pm-8pm and meeting at Wisbech Police Station, the sessions are for adults but they will take sensible 14+ with parental consent.
This group is open to anyone who can run three miles, regardless of their speed. Sessions help people work on improving their time and style, rather than focusing on distance. It’s all about working to your personal goal and getting what you want from your sessions. The sessions run on the walk-way to The Boathouse, which is great as it’s well-lit and traffic free, making it very safe.
Another great aspect to the sessions and location is the fact, no matter what your speed, you can never get left behind and you can always see everyone else, again making it sociable and friendly.
Sessions are led by Gary Bligh, a coach with UK Athletics; Richard Betts, a run leader with UKA; Sue George, an experienced triathlete; and Dean Clark, a qualified fitness instructor and personal trainer.
Trackless run group normally has around 15 people attend – a mix of gender and ages. For more information contact Gary email@example.com or Dean firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are new to running, a beginner’s running group is starting on Tuesday, January 12. This will be held in Wisbech Park from 9.30am-10.30am and is open to anyone.
If you have never run before but are willing to give it a go – even if you just start by walking – not one person will get left behind, as sessions are held in a controlled environment and are relaxed, friendly, informal and a great way to meet new people.
This group has been named The School Run as it’s held at a perfect time for parents to attend just after dropping their children off.
If you would like any more information regarding this session or are nervous about attending, contact Gary Bligh email@example.com
If you can’t make these sessions you can always try out our 1k run route in Wisbech Park or our 1k, 2k, 3k routes at West End Park March and Manor fields Whittlesey.
