Spring into sport with Active Fenland – we are pleased to offer a variety of activities this spring.

Freestyle gymnastics sessions are being held at the Thomas Clarkson Academy in Wisbech.

Sessions will be on Fridays, 4-5pm, for ages 11-16, starting on April 22; and Sundays 12.30pm-2pm for adults only, starting April 24.

Friday sessions cost £2 and Sundays £3. The first session is free, no previous gymnastic experience is needed. So, if you fancy yourself as the next ninja warrior, or just want to have a go at something new, come down and give it a try.

If you’re already free running or practising parkour outside come and give our indoor equipment a try and see if the coach can help you improve your moves.

Don’t forget, ladies netball sessions start on Tuesday, May 3, 7pm-8pm, for five weeks. So, if you’re new to netball or wanting to get back into it, these sessions could be for you. They are being held at New Vision Fitness Wisbech and cost £12 for all five weeks. Pop in to the centre or call 01354 622399 to book your place now.

March 5k Mission Beginner Running Group is being held 6pm-7pm from April 18 in West End Park, March. The aim of these sessions is to get you from 0-5k – but sessions can also cater for more experienced runners.

We also have beginner running sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Wisbech Park, 9.30am-10.30am. They are completely free and run by qualified coaches.

Looking for an evening group? Trackless sessions are held every Monday from 7pm-8pm, meeting at Wisbech Police Station. This group is open to anyone, regardless of their speed.

Trackless sessions are also free, and are part of a new running group called Three Counties. Three Counties also meet on Wednesdays at 6.30pm from Leverington sports club and Fridays at 7pm from the Town Hall car park, Downham Market, and Long Sutton Church Hall car park.

If you are interested in joining Three Counties their yearly membership is £10 for ages 14-16 and £20 for 17+. This also includes full membership of Leverington Sports Club.

The Wednesday and Friday sessions require you to be able to run three miles, but this can be developed on Monday nights or Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Visit their website for more information – http://www.threecountiesrc.org/
