Wisbech Army Cadets stood proud ready for their annual inspection on Tuesday evening.

Capt Trevor Longmuir, Detachment Commander, welcomed Major Hammond, who inspected the cadets for turnout and spoke to many about their cadet service and career plans after leaving school.

During the evening Major Hammond saw the cadets in training at the detachment, which included lessons on navigation along with practical lessons in first aid and fieldcraft skills.

Capt Trevor Longmuir said: ”The evening was a great success for the cadets. Major Hammond was very impressed with their turnout and achievements.”

At the close of the evening, presentations were made to the cadets for Youth First Aid along with Basic and Star One APC (Army Proficiency Awards) Awards.

Certificates were presented to Corporal Foxcroft, Cadet Philip-Hammond, Cadet Haddon and Cadet Crowson.
