Flower arrangers are getting their green fingers ready for this year’s Rose Fair.
Churches across Wisbech will be filled with stunning arrangements during the popular event, which is held between Wednesday, June 29, to Saturday, July 2.
Volunteers at St Peter and St Paul’s Church are gearing up for the festival, which was started in 1963 and raises money for the upkeep of this historic building.
Arrangers will be turning exotic and locally grown flowers into stunning displays, which will follow the theme of ‘The World of Fantasy’.
Refreshments will be served in the Rose Cafe and church hall, plus there will also be a host of stalls selling produce and crafts.
Joint chairman Angie Manning said: “Last year’s Rose Fair was very successful. Thousands of visitors from far and near were exceedingly impressed by the beautiful flower arrangements in St Peter’s Church.
“Every year the arrangers outperform to make all involved proud to be part of this wonderful event and of our parish church.”
The church is open from 8.30am to 5pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
There will be a thanksgiving service at 10am on Sunday, July 3.
The Round Table is once more organising floats to parade around the town at 11am and 2pm on Saturday, July 2.
