Members of a Wisbech group were delighted to welcome colleagues from across the area to a special meeting.
The Wisbech branch of the U3A hosted a network meeting in the Queen Mary Centre on Wednesday.
Members of groups from St Ives, St Neots, Downham Market and March attended the session.
The meeting was opened by town mayor Michael Hill.
Janet Hill, from the U3A regional office, gave a talk about promotion.
Chairman of the Wisbech branch, Tony Homden, said: “We used to have these meetings at Ramsey but it was decided in the future for individual branches to host the annual meeting. We were drawn to hold the first.
“It was a success and we had positive feedback from everyone.”

The Wisbech branch has meetings on a range of interests including bird watching, crafts, poetry, singing, Spanish and games.
