A headteacher has paid tribute to a “force of nature” student after a charity fashion show she organised at her school raised more than £1,700 for Unicef.

Lower sixth form pupil Maddie Booth staged the evening of glitz and glamour at Wisbech Grammar School earlier this month.

During the event, pupils modelled clothes donated by local businesses Robert Goddard and Fancy Frox, and also fashion creations by the school’s textile students.

Maddie said she was “delighted” with the response from everyone who participated and supported the event.

Thanking Maddie for her efforts, headteacher Chris Staley said: “She is a force of nature who inspires those around her. She is destined to succeed in whichever path she chooses.”
