A Fenland homeless shelter has received generous donations of clothing and food from a charity.

The Luminus Ferry Project, which has a base in Octavia View, Wisbech, has distributed 200 items of clothing and 200 items of food following the donation from His Church.
The Lincolnshire-based group receives counterfeit clothing from Trading Standards which it passes on to homeless charities.
Luminus Ferry Project director, Keith Smith, said: “We are very grateful to receive this donation of food and clothing from His Church. These goods removed from rogue traders will now help the most vulnerable in our society rather than fund further illegal activity.

“These generous gifts help our clients to grow in self-esteem as they see that people care about them, which helps them to move forward on their own personal ‘Road to Renewal’.”

If you would like to donate food, toiletries, towels, blankets or clothes call the project on 01945 429300.
