Students at Wisbech’s Thomas Clarkson Academy got a taste of the world of work at a careers convention.
Representatives from colleges and universities attended, as well as businesses including Anglian Water, British Sugar, Nestle Purina, The Light cinema, holiday companies, pharmaceutical companies and the construction industry.
Students from Year 8 went along for inspiration to help in choosing their options next year while years 11, 12 and 13 were able to find out about future careers.
Paul Griffiths, TCA’s Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance co-ordinator said: “It was a great success and we formed some good partnerships with local businesses.
“Our students got some great ideas and guidance for their futures.”
