Youngsters at a Wisbech school got into the festive spirit when they enjoyed their annual Christingle services.
A total of 242 children at St Peter’s Church of England Junior School took part in the Christmas tradition this week. Years 3 and 6 held their service at the school on Monday afternoon, and Years 4 and 5 had theirs yesterday morning. Year 6 pupils Elisha Key and Shannon Tuck said: “The Christingle was a lovely, peaceful service. We enjoyed holding our Christingles and singing the songs. “It prepares us for the festive season as we think about Jesus and how he is the light of the world.” Oranges were donated to the school for the events by Asda and Morrisons supermarkets in Wisbech.
