Woman struck by milk float suffers serious head injury

A 43-year-old woman has a "potentially life-threatening" head injury after being struck by a milk float, police said.

Officers were called to Henderson Close, Haverhill, Suffolk, at just before 3.30am on Saturday following reports of a pedestrian being struck by the Ford Transit.

Suffolk Police said the victim has been taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, while the driver of the milk float was uninjured.

The road has been closed while investigations are carried out and a nyone with information is asked to call 101.
