Young volunteers wanted

WISBECH’S Sue Ryder shop in the Market Place is looking for volunteer help.

National Volunteers’ Week is from June 1 to 7 and the charity is keen to make sure young unemployed people are given the chance to volunteer, saying this can often lead to employment.

Sue Ryder’s head of volunteering, Tracey Mealing, said: “One in five work aged volunteers finds paid employment after spending time with us.”

Any young person interested in volunteering is asked to call into the shop and talk to the manager, Caroline Lennox.
