Your memories wanted for summer railway exhibition

Do you have photographs or memorabilia from the Wisbech to King’s Lynn railway?

King’s Lynn Arts Centre Trust is looking for people to lend items to a new exhibition that will be showing in August, titled ‘Remembering West Norfolk by Rail’.

It is being held in memory of Bob Hammond, a real rail enthusiast and also a great friend to the Arts Centre. The exhibition will be held in the Shakespeare Barn and will consist of rail memorabilia including signs, totems, photographs and more.

The Trust is hoping to collect a significant railway archive for West Norfolk which will be a historical record for future generations.

The exhibition will cover all the rail lines that would have left both King’s Lynn and South Lynn, including Melton Constable, Wisbech, Norwich and Wells. They would also like people’s memories of travelling on these lines.

• Contact King’s Lynn Arts Centre on 01553-779095 if you can contribute to the ‘Remembering West Norfolk by Rail’ exhibition in any way.
