Cars were gridlocked

ON the morning of August 17, I visited Sainsbury’s in March and had no problem parking, but when I wanted to drive away I was confronted by a gridlock.

Cars were bumper-to-bumper trying to get on to Station Road due to road works.

I do wish the council would reconsider allowing Sainsbury’s to open the exit to Creek Road while repairs are being carried out.

It would save all this congestion building up. It is always the same when repairs are taking place in Station Road.

No doubt there will be objections to this idea. Surely opening the exit would be preferable to exhaust fumes building up and polluting the area while the cars are waiting, when they could so easily turn right with a detour notice to help those that do not know the area.
