THANK you to everyone who supported the Fenland Heritage Open Days last weekend: to everyone who planned, organised and manned the various events and to the many people who supported all of the activities, both local people and those who travelled from a wide area.
In March and Chatteris there were exciting and fascinating activities, interesting buildings, exhibitions, church tours, walks and talks over the four days.
Thank you to everyone responsible for publicising the events, producing information and telling about their events. Heritage Open Days give us the opportunity to celebrate our local heritage, culture and architecture in our past present and future, with events from Fossils Galore to the March Waste Transfer Station.
This was March’s second annual event and its first entry on the national Heritage Open Days website. We all look forward to building on the success in the future.
September 6 to 9, 2012 are the next Heritage Open Days. If you have any comments or ideas, and would like to suggest places you would like to see open, let us have your ideas.
