WE went to the Oasis to watch ‘A Loan in Wisbech’, a short play by students from the Thomas Clarkson School.
We knew they’d had only three weeks to prepare so we weren’t expecting great things. But that’s what we got. They had many of the audience in tears at the beginning and laughter at the end.
It was an amazing and enjoyable event putting across a clear message about not getting involved in loan sharks, highlighting the damage and violence that can occur if payments are not kept up.
A difficult challenging subject to present, but they certainly did it brilliantly.
Well done to everyone involved. It was so good that they’ve been asked to perform this elsewhere, so we would recommend that if you have the opportunity, go and see it.
