I was dismayed when I read your article ‘Work Starts On Cromwell Road’.
For those who can’t drive or don’t own a car such as the elderly, out of town shopping and services are not an option. Such complexes are too far to walk to and are poorly served (if at all) by public transport.
Concerning the yet to be erected Light Cinema, how can Phil Dove (its manager in waiting) say: “This is a project that Wisbech really needs”? Hasn’t he heard of the very popular and absolutely fantastic Luxe digital cinema with its leather settees also showing 3D films? Luxe owner Burleigh Ibbot should be given an award for having the initiative to create such wonderful easily accessible facility for Wisbech people.
