In reference to the core strategy proposing new homes in March and the already agreed 450 homes in North ward. I cannot believe how the views and concerns of residents have been overlooked by the people they voted into office. The strategy aims to ‘improve life for all March residents’ and to retain the ‘special qualities that make this district unique.’ How then, (post Cllr Tunley’s letter) as I understand it, after hundreds of residents’ petitions and letters, wasn’t there one voice of opposition noted in any of the consultation meetings leading to proposal implementation? Who was responsible for this, why and what reasons were there for this and where did the letters and petitions get filed?
This whole process was not debated and forced through. Without Trevor Watson, this proposal would never had raised its head until it was too late.
