ALMOST 30 people braved torrential rain and supported a walk around historic Wisbech to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
A big thank you to the hardy souls who battled the elements. Christina Swain gave an extremely interesting virtual tour of town centre locations of interest, along with information about Octavia Hill and Thomas Clarkson. £121 was raised on the day with further donations bringing the total to £136.
Those attending the walk took tea and cake afterwards at the Octavia Hill Birthplace Museum. Thanks to museum volunteers for staying open past usual opening hours.
It is hoped to do another walk in the spring.
