COULD I through your newspaper ask the Town Council and Fenland District Council if they have arranged anything for Wisbech for St George’s Day or are we to expect the same disappointing attitude that we are now becoming used to in this town?
If they have not arranged or planned anything then why not?
A major Fenland town such as Wisbech, the so called Capital of the Fens, should put on and hold events equal to King’s Lynn and Downham Market.
It is not good enough to just sit back and say ‘Well some local businesses may put up banners.’
We live in a multi-cultural society and this town has many different foreign nationals.
The English community should celebrate St George’s Day - the Patron Saint of England
