WITH regard to the letter from Dick Lawrie of March (Citizen August 15).
This gentleman thinks that litter only happens in townships in South Africa.
What a well-travelled chap he must be, now at last he’s found Wisbech.
The townsfolk, he says are ‘without pride’. What a nerve he’s got. Our street cleaners do a great job but can’t be in all places at all times.
Yes we do, as all towns have some people who don’t care where they throw their litter, but for him to paint all good folk of Wisbech with the same brush is narrow minded and insulting.
I’m sure that if I’ve got nothing else to do for a day and visit March, no doubt I too could find places where I would find litter, not filth.
