LOUISE HAZEL had to quit after just three events in the pentathlon at Combined Event when representing Britain in Holland at the weekend.
But the March athlete still managed a personal best in the 60 metres hurdles with a time of 8.32 secs when finishing in second place in her heat.

She was below her best in the high jump with 1.60 metres and pulled out injured after a throw of 12.01 metres in the shot putt.

The previous week Hazel had won the shot at the Midland Counties Indoor Open in Birmingham with a throw of 11.51.

She tackled three other events at the meeting, was third in the 60 metres in 7.63 secs, fourth in the 60m hurdles (8.42) and third in the high jump with 1.70 metres.
