CRICKET: Fountain bowls 'em over

BOWLER James Fountain was named as Doddington's first team player of the season at the club's annual presentation evening.
Around 40 members and friends attended and were welcomed by vice chairman, Neil Clarke.

Other award winners – 2nd X1 Player of the Year Clive Dove; Sunday X1 Jamie Long; 1st X1 Captain's Cup Nick Usher; 2nd X1 Captain's Cup Ryan Wright. Most Improved Player Jamie Long; Young Player Dan Beavis; Clubman Antony Bamford.

The Seconds were congratulated on gaining promotion from CCA Division 3NA and the Sunday side were praised for coming second in the Fenland Trophy.

The evening took the form of a fancy dress party. Winner of the first prize was Martyn Bentley who went as Frankenstein.
