Doddington Seconds were involved in a thrilling game at home to St Ives Thirds in CCA Division 3A on Saturday – with Adam Costall hitting two sixes in the last over to win the game with a ball to spare.
St Ives made 249, losing just one wicket which went to Barrie Carter. Opener Rogers hit a mammoth 171 not out.

Doddington reached their target in the nick of time, with opener Clive Dove scoring 95. Martyn Bentley made 39 and Barrie Carter 22, bef
ore Costall's quickfire 31 not out, which included three sixes and 16 runs off the final over to leave them on 254 for seven.

Doddington were also victorious on Sunday with a four-wicket win at home to March in the Fenland Trophy.

March were dismissed for 128 in 36.2 overs with Ryan Wright taking four for 18 from 7.2 overs. Ben Pyle took three for 17 from eight. Haselgrave and Hodson made 22 apiece for March.

A solid 55 not out from captain Carter helped Doddington to reach their total, making 134 for six in 37.4 overs. James Beresford, for March, finished with four wickets for four runs from eight overs.

Next weekend Doddington host Stapleford in the CCA, while the Seconds travel to March 3rds. On Sunday Parson Drove visit for a friendly.

n Chatteris Firsts lost a high-scoring CCA Senior League Division Three game at Burwell Seconds on Saturday.

Burwell blasted 377-6 off their 45 overs, but Chatteris were restricted to 203-4 in reply.
