Ladies let two-goal lead slip

MARCH Town Ladies were beaten 5-2 by Yaxley in the final of the Ladies League Cup on Sunday at the GER Sports Ground.
Having taken a two goal lead in the second half through a brace from Sherenn Hutton, including a stunning free kick, the heat took its toll on Simon Laws’ side and Yaxley scored twice to draw level and take it to extra time.

The experience of the Yaxley side, who had taken a 100 per cent record from their league campaign, proved decisive as they went on to win by a comfortable margin.
