MARCH Town opening bat Andrew Mills scored a brilliant 160 not out in only his second Minor Counties Championship appearance for Cambridgeshire earlier this week.
Mills, who was selected for the first time last month, has been in fine form all season for March and was at the crease for 86 overs, hitting 16 boundaries.

Wisbech's Gary Freear, who captains Cambridgeshire, was also in good form with 62 - but was unfortunately run out in a mix-up with Mills, who was on 87 at the time, after they had put on 112.

Mills' father Les, the March chairman, was present at Fenners to see the innings and commented: "It was his highest and best innings so far.

"It was a fantastic effort in only his second game and I am very pleased for him."

Cambs needed to win on the final day yesterday (Tuesday) to keep up with Eastern Division leaders Lincs, but rain was threatening to wash out the game.
