Chatteris snooker star Joe Perry lost out to world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan in the third round of the Northern Ireland Trophy on Thursday.
O’Sullivan compiled a 132 in the opening frame. Perry, who has returned to the top 16 and was a Crucible semi-finalist last season, hit back with an 80. Despite the Rocket making 54 in the third, Perry took the frame.

O'Sullivan levelled with a 66 before easing in front with an 81 and clinching victory in frame eight 5-3.

In the second round Perry had beaten Jamie Cope 5-2 with impressive breaks of 79, 80, 71 and 96.
