Leverington set themselves up for a West Norfolk League promotion showdown with Bircham on Saturday with an excellent Division Two win at Springwood.
Leverington were bowled out for 133, with Shaun Sleight 15, Glyn Wilson 16, Damien Allen 17 and Paul Rockliffe 18 scoring well before Dominic Mills’ rapid 32.

They needed a good bowling and fielding performance to win, led by Allen (2-24) and Aaron Cobb (3-36).

Skipper Mark Godfrey juggled his bowlers well as Leverington kept the pressure on the Springwood batsmen. The run rate increased as they started losing wickets and by the 45th over they had no chance of winning.

Second placed Leverington go into Saturday’s clash with third-placed Bircham needing to avenge a defat from earlier in the season. If they win they will have a great chance of getting out of Division Two for the first time since 1986.
