FENLAND Wanderers had to scrap hard for their 4-3 away win over March Saracens in the Wisbech Sunday League after dominating the opening half.
Aaron Yeomans gave the visitors an early lead following good work from Sam Kavanagh.

It was Kavanagh who put the visitors 2-0 up from the penalty spot, then the impressive Alan Setchell scored a wonder goal from 50 yards with a half-volley that le
ft the home keeper flat-footed.

Just before the break March's Ashley Taylor scored a goal that the visitors thought was offside. The second half saw the home side get on top with Dwyane Moore causing countless problems in the visiting defence and he notched the home side's second before he set up Taylor for the equaliser.

But late on Wanderers got the winner through Yeomans. Saracens came close late on but although they did not get a point their performance was a massive improvement. Andrew Abbott was again outstanding for the home team while Kieran O'Neill had an impressive match for the visitors.

Both clubs deserve praise for getting this match on, both agreed to delay the kick off by 30 minutes to allow extra time for the pitch to thaw and the home club made extra efforts to ensure the goalmouths were cleared and safe.

Fixtures: Saracens v Crown (P Mitcham), Tilney v WSM (J Graves), Emneth v North End (S Phillips).
