Walton Highway A had an 8-2 win against Institute Wasps in the Wisbech Table Tennis League.
Wasps's two points came from Harrod who put up a display of determination and doggedness in his singles - firstly against Reed, where he managed to win a close game over four ends, 7-11,12-10,12-10,11-7 and then surprisingly against Forth with an eas
ier game again over four ends. These were the only scores on the board for Wasps.
There were no real surprises in the Institute against Walton Highway 'B who won 8-2. The game of Institute's Gay against Goodale should have been closer than it was, Gay taking it comfortably in four ends. Hughes of Walton played well against Institute's two juniors Parnell and Brown to pick up two points and later won the doubles with Nicholls. Nicholls had no problems with his three singles giving Walton their win 8-2.
Eagles had a strong team against a far weaker team of Institute C and as expected had no problems whatsoever in dishing it out and produce a 10-0 whitewash.
Trojans dished it out to Aqua to come away with their expected 10-0 whitewash. This confirms the strength of their squad and their position at the top of the table.
