Several local clubs and organisations have already got together to publish the new season’s fixture lists so that hopefully none of the bigger matches will clash, which in turn always reduces attendances.
If your club has got its fixture list then please feel free to email it over to me at email@example.com

A good attendance for the Fenland Rods on Sunday saw the pairs match split between Four Islands and Lou’s Lake on the Decoy Complex.

Then came Dave Simpson and Kev Lee with 131lb 4 ½oz followed by John Garner and Clint Gumbs.

Last week saw several matches on the popular Doddington venue.
In the Tuesday Senior Citizens match Mick Atherton topped a strong field with 66lb 4oz, taken on the pellet waggler from peg 20. Then came Mick Linnell on peg 24, he fished a small Method feeder close in to record a level 60lb.
Some 55lb 10oz was enough to give Albert Hawkins third taken on maggot.
Luncheon meat proved to be the winning bait for Riverbed AC later in the week, winner Steve Angrave put 55lb 12oz to the scales from peg 16. Andy Howitt came in second on 27lb 12oz, followed by Dave Dean with 24lb 10oz.

Outwell is a cracking venue for club matches, if you are looking for a decent water where everyone gets plenty of bites then give it a try. In the recent Metal Box AC event the club fished on the Woodpecker pool and saw Rodney Melnyk out in front with 45lb 2oz. Luncheon meat was the successful bait for him which he fished close in under a small tree.
Runner-up was Richard Deller, he fished a pellet waggler up in the water for 33lb 6oz followed by Roger Archer with 29lb 6oz.
In the Sunday Open, fishery boss Colin Begbie took first place bagging 81lb on the long pole with meat and pellet. Harry Morgan and John Buckingham came in joint second both putting 57lb 10oz to the scales, both fished the pole and feeder.
