Winning the toss, with a hard wicket and new ball, Doddington decided to bowl first, Ely scoring 195 all out.
The bowlers bowled really well in the heat. Shardul Brahmbatt was the star with the ball, picking up 4-39 off nine, with support from Umaer and Fake Mamood, two wickets each.
Matthew Day stepped in as wicketkeeper and picked up three scalps.
Doddington scored 139 for 1 in the first 20 overs, Dan Martell 22 was the only wicket to fall.
Brahmbatt scored 102 not out and Saalik Mamood 62 not out, putting Doddington back in the top five.
