Chatteris couldn’t make it back to back victories at the weekend when they lost at table toppers Kimbolton by 8 wickets,
Chatteris got off to a good start with skipper Ant Palmer (15) and the ever reliable Kurt Cunningham (47) putting on 50 for the first wicket, but after that no one could get to grips with the home bowlers and Chatteris were dismissed for a disappointing 111 inside 43 overs.
Kimbolton lost just two wickets winning inside just 28 overs, both wickets going to Mark Leach 2-39.
Chatteris 2nds lost their sixth game of the season at home to Granta 3rds.
Openers Stuart Porter (40) and Malc Perry (28) put on 47 for the first wicket, but apart from a quickfire 25 from captain Paul Foster and a nice 20 from young Harry Matthews the home side suffered from poor shots and were all out for 145.
Granta made sure of victory with the top four all getting scores, the best bowling was from Danny Lynch 4-34.
On Sunday the Fenland XI had a great 37 run victory at Wimblington with a very young side. Chatteris were 85-3 at the halfway point but a blistering partnership of 119 from father and son duo Grant Osbourn (77no) and skipper son (63no) they reached 204 at the interval.
The home side were always behind the run rate ending on 167-7 from 40 overs, the pace of Porter 3-2 from three overs and the spin from Matthews 3-32 doing the damage.
