LEVERINGTON footballer Darren Rawthorn has won his appeal against a sine die ban for spitting at a referee.
Rawthorn appeared for the Cambs Football Association last week and it was decided there was no case to answer.
He was sent off in the game for violent conduct and was alleged to have spat at the referee after the incident.
Leverington manager Stuart Webb: “I am delighted Darren has won his case because he just would not have done anything like that.”
Rawthorn still has one game left to complete his four-match ban for the red for violent conduct.
Benwick Athletic player Jason Harrison has been banned for four games for serious foul play after being sent off against Haddenham.
Jamie Phillips, from the same club, has received a two-match ban for abusive language to an official in the same game.
