Haverhill Borough 1, March Town United 1

March rescued a Thurlow Nunn League First Division point in a top six clash.

With March claiming offside, the hosts were ahead on 51 minutes. However the visitors levelled on 71 minutes after a flowing move as Grant Watson, Dan Woods and Luke Pepper set up the outstanding Ash Brand to finish simply.

March: Dave Beeny, Josh Jackman, Jordan Fiddes, Grant Watson, Jordan Goult, Max Mattless, Liam Merryweather, Luke Pepper, Dan Woods (Gerard Evans), Toby Ayres (Adam Conyard), Ash Brand (Tom Morton). Att: 48.

During the next week the Hares have two home derbies: on Saturday they host King’s Lynn Town Res and on Tuesday they entertain Downham Town. Last night in the Cambs Invitation Cup semi-final, March hosted Cambridge City.
