On Saturday an experimental Chatteris first team, with three U18 players thrown into the mix, drew a friendly against a King’s Lynn XI.

King’s Lynn were 2-0 up within 10 minutes, one from a penalty, but a well-worked team goal was finished off by Asa Revell and Chatteris equalised about 15 minutes before the end, thanks to captain Ben Matthews scoring from close range.

The next Lilies friendly will be on Tuesday (July 30) at 7.45 pm against Wisbech Town.

On Wednesday the U18s, with players having come up from Chatteris Youth U16 playing for the first time, beat Swaffham U18 2-0 (Asa Revell 2).
