Better show by Hares

MARCH Town lost their final preseason friendly by 3-2 Sleaford Town, but manager Paul Crosbie hailed the performance as the best so far since he took over on Tuesday night.

The UCL Premier Division side took a 3-0 lead in the first half but the Hares hit back after the break with goals from Guiliano Staffieri and Robbie Masters.

Crosbie said: “We gave away two sloppy goals from crosses and a penalty, but this time the heads did not go down. We responded really well after the break, which is what we demanded, and played some decent football. It was our best performance of preseason.”

He also expects Adam Sutton and Sam Darlow, who missed the game, to be fit for Saturday’s opening Thurlow Nunn League game at Debenham.
