Boss will not panic after third loss in row

Team Bury 2,

March Town 1

The Hares suffered a third successive Thurlow Nunn Division One defeat.

Manager Paul Crosbie refuses to panic and said: “It was very disappointing to lose against a team we should have beaten. We have the talent in the team to be doing a lot better.

“Marc Hipwell was not really tested apart from the two goals and our defenders have done well along with Robbie Masters. Jack Saunders missed from three yards out and other chances went begging.”

The Bury side took the lead midway through the first half when a cross found a player unmarked sending a half-volley into the net.

The second came soon after when James McDonough was incorrectly ruled offside and Bury took a quick free kick and again a player was unmarked.

On the hour March went to three at the back and the move paid off when McDonough’s free kick was headed home by Masters.

The nearest March came to a second goal was when Ash Spendelow fired the ball across the goal and Sam Darlow somehow missed getting a touch.

March: Hipwell, Spendelow, Porter, Sutton, Darlow; Anderson, Hollis, Bailey, Saunders; McDonough, Masters. Sub used: Emmington.
