Chatteris Town went down 3-2 at Waterbeach in a Cambs League Premier Division game of second half goals.
Chatteris boss Steve Bright said: “Sometimes you feel it is not going to be your day. They had more more pressure but not many chances. We huffed and puffed and didn’t play at our best.”
In a fairly even game the Lilies went behind just after the interval, but Ben Matthews levelled following good work from Jack Saunders down the left.
Chatteris went 3-1 down before Simon Howard tapped in with 15 minutes remaining.
Stuart Anderson, recently moved from March Town, attended the game but sat it out with a knock sustained in training. The midfielder hopes to make his debut in next weekend’s must-win game versus West Wratting.
Estover Park’s Chris Smith made an appearance at the age of 50 in the 9-5 loss to Little Downham in 3B. Park goals came Wayne Whitaker, Tommy Neal 2, Dan Williams and Richard Peachey.
Senior B’s Outwell Swifts won 3-1 at Hemingfords Res through a 40 yard Lee Chapman effort, captain Ben Jimson with a lob and top scorer James Steven Parker from his own half.
Manager Mark Secker said Matthew Leach and Callum Fendley were outstanding.
Upwell Town manager Karl Schultz said of the 5-0 Haigh Cup triumph at Earith Res: “It was an exceptional team performance.”
On target were Gary Green, Johnny Harnwell, Josh Mackie (2) and an own goal.

l Richard Allen of Chatteris Town has been suspended for three matches by Cambs FA for violent conduct against Lakenheath.
Jack Morgan (Tydd United) has a three-game ban for serious foul play versus Fordham. Jack Clarke (Wisbech St Mary) faced a three-game ban from February 4, with the end date to be confirmed, for improper conduct against Burwell.
Dean McShane (Wisbech St Mary) is suspended for two games for use of abusive language against Earith United.
