Coldham recorded their best result for five years in Cambs League 5C.

Rangers started the game well, but once Coldham got going the goals flooded in from Matt Hampshire, Kevin Smith, Daniel Symonds, Sam Frankham, Sam Everitt, Anthony Horn, Chris Haddon 2, and man of the match Kensey Carter 3.

Upwell Res 5

Upwell Res had a convincing win at Benwick Res.

After taking a two-goal lead, Benwick came back into the game when Joe Davis set up Damo Shailes with a well-worked goal. Upwell scored almost immediately and then got two further goals in the second half. John Trower missed a sitter in the last few minutes.

Upwell scorers were Aaron Marshall 4 and Jay Wilding.

Upwell cruised into the next round of the John Ablett Cup.

Jack Watson opened the scoring within the first 2 minutes before returning striker Mario Santos made it 2-0. Luke Gale scored a brace, sandwiching a second Watson effort before the break. Jonny Allen made it 6-0 before Outwell’s Thomas Brazil scored a late consolation.
