Wisbech Town joint manager Dick Creasey said heads will roll if the Fenmen put in more United Counties League Premier Division performances like this one.
The hosts scored on Saturday after 15 minutes then added two second half strikes, the first a penalty straight after half-time.
Creasey, whose first game this was in joint charge after returning to the club in a managerial role last week, said: “I’ve worked a lot in the UCL and I know what it’s all about.
“There’s a lot of a work ethic.
“You have to earn the right to win games and we didn’t do that on Saturday.
“Their first goal was bad marking by us: a free header at the back post.
“We could have had a penalty which was turned down for handball, but all in all we were very poor.
“It was not acceptable and we told the players after the game.
“They’ve got to stand up and be counted.
“If not, then one or two will have to disappear.
“We’ve got a massive week with three cup games, with the big one on Saturday. It will be a tall order as they are the third favourites to win the competition.”
Wide player Matt Lunn will be doubtful for next Saturday’s FA Vase trip to Ashington after picking up a calf injury and having to be replaced by Callum Stocks.
Creasey added that bringing another player in before Saturday will be difficult because of the time of year.
Stocks and Lea Jordan will be cup-tied.
The Fenmen will again use ex-Godmanchester and St Ives goalkeeper Carl Mackney to deputise for Jordan.
Wisbech: Jordan, Docherty, Johnson (Reid), Cousins, Spafford, Millson, Reed, White, Battersby, James, Lunn (Stocks).
